Planning and Development Services of Kenton County (PDS) is a public agency serving Kenton County and its 19 cities. PDS brings together expertise in building codes, community development, GIS, infrastructure engineering, planning, and zoning — all under one roof — so that every community in the county has access to the same level of professional support.

PDS was established in 1961 to give Kenton County’s many communities a unified approach to planning and development. What started as a forward-thinking idea in the early 1960s has grown into a cornerstone of how the county operates and grows.
