PDS is seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time position with the possibility of the position becoming full-time for FY21. Code Enforcement Official (Planning and Zoning; III+): enforcement of local zoning and property maintenance ordinances, compiling data and preparing official correspondence, and assisting the public.
The successful candidate for this position will be a highly motivated and outgoing team player with a strong ability to work with those being regulated in a professional and courteous manner. This is a part-time position to support the code enforcement efforts of full-time staff. Only candidates able to work 24 hours each week from mid-March though the month of June will be considered.
Minimum education and experience include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); some knowledge of codes or law enforcement preferred.
This position does require a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation as independent daily site visits may be necessary. PDS provides mileage reimbursement at the IRS-recommended rate.
