Linden Gateway Form Based Code

Chapter 8 of the Linden Gateway Small Area Study recommends the creation of a form based code to implement the land use recommendations contained within the study. The NKAPC has been asked to assist the City of Covington and the Linden Gateway Oversight Committee in the preparation of theses regulations. In order to assist NKAPC staff and provide guidance and feedback, a steering committee comprised of key stakeholders in and around the 12th Street/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard corridor was recommended by the Oversight Committee and appointed by the Covington City Commission.

The purpose of this form based code is to regulate the look and feel of new development and redevelopment so that the form of new infill buildings is compatible with that of the surrounding historic neighborhood and also that of the new St. Elizabeth Medical Center Covington.
